In this high-energy presentation, ERGO and Miss Moneypenny Technologies (MMP) demonstrated how a bold, future-focused collaboration is transforming travel insurance through digital wallet technology.

With over 4 billion people now using mobile wallets daily, ERGO recognised an opportunity to shift from traditional, paper-heavy processes toward a smarter, more seamless customer experience. Partnering with MMP, they reimagined the wallet not just as a storage tool, but as a digital gateway to real-time insurance services.

Together, they built a ‘travel companion’ experience – replacing static insurance cards with smart wallet passes offering up-to-date policy info, emergency contacts, and instant access to value-added services like Air Doctor, which connects travellers to local medical care.

At the heart of the transformation is MMP’s Wallet Studio platform, which allowed ERGO to rapidly prototype, customise, and deploy wallet-based apps. With simple drag-and-drop tools, cross-department collaboration, and pre-built modules, Wallet Studio compressed a 12-month development timeline into a matter of days.

The pilot exceeded expectations – boosting conversion rates, reducing costs, and enhancing user engagement. It also created new pathways to drive loyalty and self-service.

Hanbig and Anna highlighted the mutual value of insurer-tech collaboration. By combining ERGO’s insurance expertise with MMP’s digital innovation, they were able to address key friction points in the customer journey.
